Back to Testing

I have been spending some time lately testing community apps. The list of apps (currently at 225) under community QA is increasing steadily which is great because it is a strong indicator of developer interest in the platform. But this has also led to a backlog for the testers and the associated complaints of delays from the developers.

Close to 30 applications are ready for promotion to Extras but the developers haven’t done it for some reason. There are also apps that have been around for more than 8 weeks without getting tested. It would be nice to see the testing queue cleaned up a bit.

If you are interested in helping with the testing effort, the wiki is great starting point. There are two mailing lists currently active:
– The Testing-Squad list for general discussion/help and
– The newly created Testing-Squad-Comments to follow comments on the packages.

Kovacs estimates that the endorsement time will take seven to thirteen days, putting GV
Mobile+ in the App Store sometime subsequent week. @chronic ‘ this so-proclaimed hacker and app developer is the creator of the Chronic Dev Team. You can install multiple i – Phone apps, search for available networks and adhere to the one that you want and you can ultimately enjoy all the features with no restrictions.
